TAKE YOUR TIME, TAKE A PHOTO

iovivo is italian and means "i live". this is what my photography is about: life

photography has become an important part of my life, since the camera helps me getting a much deeper understanding of what i am seeing.

it makes me slow down, take a deep breath and get aware of what is happening around me. This is why the process of taking pictures is so deeply satisfying for me.

my photographic career began rather involuntarily with a summer job as a reporter for a local newspaper when i was asked to not only write a few lines about events, but bring a camera and take pictures.

i lent my father's treasured LEICA and soon i was keener on publishing photos than on writing. not only it paid much better, but also i could be out on the street.

i am no longer a reporter having to tell brief stories of the past. now i try to be there while things happen as life becomes somewhat predictable for whom has time to wait and eyes to see.
